Because it was absolutely seen as a children’s system back then, and South Park was like the most “adult” property out there. Different time.

The only rated T game I can remember was GTA, it was definitely looked as a children’s console

They say they didn’t want to release a game for a children’s system but weren’t PS1 and n64 seen as being for kids as well?
I always thought gaming was thought to be for kids until the 360 ps3 era.

I mean, it’s a game[ with 8-bit child gore in it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddRPi0v-dqk&t=379s) Can’t blame them for not wanting to have it out there, especially when Game Boy Color’s library was full of licensed cartoon/toy tie-ins, more so than any other Nintendo handheld.
