Hey r/xbox! Didn't know where to post this so I figured would post here. I bought a Pikachu from this kiosk at Tokyo haneda airport. This camera caught my eye! I thought it looked like a kinect so i took a picture. After looking at my picture, i saw the xbox logo hiding behind that v-sync sticker! I didn't notice that in person. Anyways, isn't funny to see defunct piece of tech from 13 years ago (jeez….) being re-purposed in a Pokémon kiosk!?

Yea they are being used in many things. It was a good product but not for gaming i would say.
Kinect is pretty nice and common for such things. DASA Exibition (tech) in Dortmund also has a couple of Kinects in one of their rooms, using different filters to showcase some capabilities.
And they are still being used for CT machines in hospitals as well.
