No man’s sky. I purchased it 8 years after launch. Fucking weird ass game.

I never buy games day one but I think cyberpunk was crazy bad. Smth I didn’t even expect from CD proj red. But turned out pretty good so I eventually bought it. (Same with no man’s that was weird)

    3. Starfield. The hype was “Skyrim in space,” but the reality was “Loading Screen Simulator 2023.” It didn’t break my heart, it just made me sleepy.

    4. Fallout 4 for me. I loved Fallout 1 & 2, didn’t care for FO3 (felt like “Fallout Oblivion” to me). New Vegas was fine and good but still too Oblivion.

Fallout 4, maybe this would finally be the game that’d be a proper callback to the originals!

…nope, nope. It was an action-adventure game with a Fallout skin. It was as much a Fallout game as the old console Brotherhood of Steel game was. An utter travesty at every level.

(Of course eventually I went back to it with mods and gave it a real chance, deciding to look past the “It’s not a Fallout RPG” and just treat it like a general Fallout survival game / settlement builder, and then I had some fun with it. But that initial disappointment was crushing.)

Spiderman 2 on PC because i got it the moment it released and it was a buggy mess. I lost my save on top of that because of a glitch. but now it seems like they fixed all that

      Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Being a long time AC fan, I couldn’t wait to explore feudal Japan and meet Japanese historical figures.

Unfortunately, Shadows turned out to be dull in story, dreadfully tiring in the main characters, and enough mundane quests to train me to be permanently bored.

    7. Bf6. Open beta was so hyped, haven’t opened it since a few weeks after release. Most COD coded bf title to date.

Two of my most anticipated switch 1 titles

Brothership and Sparks of hope, sequels to some of my favorite rpgs. When they released i dropped them after just a few hours.

Recently picked brothership back up and beat it though, its easily in my top 5 mario games now, just the first few islands being really slow that stopped me before

    9. Hot take but…expedition 33

I tried really hard to like it, but I just couldn’t get into it. Played probably 10 hours or so, and I didn’t hate it, but it was just okay to me.
