If I’ve used a credit card on my account, that obviously means I’m over 18 and shouldn’t have to send them my biometrics. This age verification bullshit is just an excuse to harvest even more data from you.
They don’t care about protecting kids. If they did they’d block accounts that didn’t verify from playing 18+ games or from playing anything with gambling, but they didn’t.

That’s the snake oil, its the same thing politicians do in politics but when you lift up the hood or analyze many policies do more bad than good and their is a hidden agenda. Like the “oh lets kill all fossil fuel use and go fully electric” lol sounds good but boyyyyyyyyy ohhhhh boyyyyyy is that bad without a long term plan that takes decades to come to fruition.
Parents should be policing and putting age verifcation features to use on their consoles not big buisness or govt imo mandating all these things which we really know why they are doing it.

I don’t think it’s wild to believe that age verification laws actually are being pushed to protect kids and make parents’ lives easier.

We live in a world where it’s easier than ever for predators to reach kids. When my daughter was younger she showed me a message she got from some creep online. I reported the degenerate after sending him an angry response.
I don’t have any issue with anything that’s looking to keep kids safe. Frankly, I’d appreciate having adults be verified so they can more easily be reported when they pull stuff like this.
