Bought a new 3DS because my old one isn’t reading game cartridges anymore and the screen is damaged 🥲 The seller told me there were no scratches and I thought it was just traces of glue from a screen protector. Seems like the 3Ds was smashed shut and was damaged from the frame. Is this a common issue? I can’t return it and it’s not very visible when turned on but still sad considering I paid 170$.

This is a common issue when the top screen is closed it press himself on the bottow screen my looks badder then this and i dont think a way to fix this without replace the screen.

This is an extremely common issue.

All 3DS systems have their lens too close to the bottom. The touch screen border will touch the top lens.

This is not caused by a few instances of people closing their system roughly. It’s caused by anyone closing the system hundreds of times normally.

    3. Wait, i dont get your point. Is the screen damaged, meaning it doesnt work? Or you are getting mad at common lens damage due to how the console Is designed? Not to mention this is super cheap 2min “repair”

    4. You can order a new top screen lens from Aliexpress, they’re cheap and easy to install.

170 bucks is a hell of a nice deal considering the current pricing of these consoles.

I’d order a new lens, there’s no way you are getting another console at the same price.

Where did you buy it where returns aren’t allowed?

On pretty much all online marketplaces, returns are required, even if the seller claims they don’t accept them.
