Note: Some interesting data points on this. But, it would’ve been better for full year evaluation instead of three months but, go figure I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯

This sub is feeling very desperate right now for validation.

Yeah I don’t care about the « brand » tbh, let’s see some good games first then we’ll talk.
Forza Horizon 6 is great but I already played this game twice now with 4 and 5.
Halo Infinite was pretty mid, boring campaign without epic scenes but solid gunplay.
Hoping that the next Gears of War is a banger.

This just seems a bit like fluff to me. It just seems to early to tell. As far as i know the only thing she had a hand in of actual substance to me was lower gamepass. Changing a logo and turning on caps lock doesn’t actually do anything in the end.
Id love to see her do something like open up some licenses for development that nobody has any intention to touch in house at the moment or something to get more games flowing.

I hope this lady isn’t wasting all the gamepass money on these bots glazing her online everyday.
I enjoyed the days when we didn’t even know who these people were. Now every rich asshole running things wants to be a rockstar too.

Too early to call for now, but Asha is making what appears to be moves that’s gaining both momentum and attention. It looks like shes coming out swinging hard, especially with the return of direct feedback.
I’m waiting for a hammer to drop so I’m tentatively holding my breath.

these are all small steps in the right direction

Asha hasn’t done anything that actually shifts the needle, apart from the game pass price reduction.
Everything else has been mainly cosmetic (like logos and Xbox to XBOX) and she has yet to follow through on real, concrete changes like more game pass tiers and exclusive games so…
How about we wait for actual change instead of reaching for the slightest bit of validation?

What we’ve seen so far is a competent and communicative CEO. That was the first hurdle. The rest is yet to come.

In what practical actual ways is Xbox gaining momentum?

Being an Xboxer since 2006 and heavily invested in the ecosystem I can honestly say I don’t believe a word they say until I see actions. Whilst I’m not going to go out and join any other club I like many others have been burnt and heard this rhetoric over and over and it reminds me of the little boy that cried wolf each time I see stuff like this. Whether it’s direct from XBOX or from a third party.
