    1. This is a perfectly fine response. Let’s see people disagree who have no background in any of this and explain why the low memory on series s isn’t an issue.

Btw it runs like absolute trash on steam deck to this day so this excuse is bullshit lol

    3. Folks chill we will ship on Steam Deck but XBOX Series S is the problem. What an asshole 🤡🤡🤡

Never thought there was a deal in place but to launch on the steam deck but not the series s is hilarious.

    5. Cool, maybe I’ll play it in a few years on a heavy sale. Weird Steam Deck is so important with its slow hardware and even smaller install base, but whatever.

    6. Steam deck but not Switch 2 or Series S?

If PlayStation had a series s like console trust me the devs would make it work.

Xbox just doesn’t have the market share to justify the pain in the ass. Which is why I don’t know if I will buy the helix. This is starting to be a trend in general as more people leave Xbox and devs don’t see it as worth it.

    8. I understand the dev POV on what make senses, PS5 and PC, but I can BS on the Series S holding back the release.

    9. In case any more idiots are planning on commenting “bUt tHe sTeAm dEcK!1!”: He clearly states here that memory is the problem, and just a few seconds of googling would tell you that the Steam Deck actually has 16 GB of RAM, while the Series S only has 10.

this guy is just insufferable. shame because moon studios is full of talented people and artists and the game is a masterpiece

    11. FYI, this dev already shit the bed once for pc gamers anyway. Just ignore them and this game, they’re not worth the controversy or your money.

It’s a business, and indie devs do not have the technical resources triple A devs have.

A harsh truth is that relative to other systems Xbox ports do not sell as well. Allocating resources to another target platform is costly & for games with smaller budgets/projected sales they have to make decisions about what they can and cannot do. This means that the platforms that won’t make as much return get lower priority.

For Steam Deck, getting Steam Deck certified means that it runs on Proton, plays with controllers, and that there is a graphics preset that meets Valve’s performance standards. That’s it, nothing comparable to the process of certifying a console game. To give an idea, there’s games that do literally nothing and get certified because they just happened to meet the requirements lol.

They intend on releasing it for more platforms, just after launch. That’s fair and anyone actually mad needs to chill out. Everybody is for supporting smaller devs and sticking it to the AAAs but that means understanding that smaller devs are not financially capable of meeting the same release schedules as corporations
