Yes, it only says whishlist on steam but in the GameXplain dev talk they are already talking about console ports / crossplay and lets be real, we all know this is also coming to switch :p

this actually looks really fun, and i’m not the biggest fan of kart or racing games in general. unfortunately i think the chances of it coming to switch 1 aren’t very high though 😕
I was expecting a Diddy Kong Racing clone based on the developer, but a Super Mario Kart clone could be interesting.
Seems risky. Yooka Laylee had sales because people were nostalgic for old school collectathons and there weren’t many coming out. An arcade racing game on the other hand has a ton of competition.

This has been such a weird franchise. The first game reviewed well enough, but they followed it with a 2.5D spin-off, and then rereleased the first game 6 years after that, and now doing a Mario Kart game the following year.
Is there really that much love for these characters to be jumping genres this much?
I feel the DKR route with a small hub world and bosses would have been more fitting with Yooka-Laylee.
Why the extraordinarily bad graphics? I mean put this side by side with Mario Kart and we have a problem. This like Mario Kart from SNES graphics.
I’m interested. I think Super Mario Kart would benefit from a remake that also keeps the same style but allows for online/4 player split screen.
