No multiplayer is wild.

When you first saw halo were you blinded by its majesty?

I can see 1 to 3 remakes making their way to ps5, ps6 but new Halo could be xbox console exclusive

What about on the base console? Don’t forget us, please.

If anyone thinks Microsoft is sticking to “console exclusives” they are delusional. That being said, this looks awesome, PSSR is really flexing it’s muscle here.

Looks good, but I wouldn’t get too comfortable assuming the rest of the franchise follows. Microsoft’s messaging on all of this has been an absolute mess. Campaign Evolved is happening on PS5 because it was committed to. What comes after, Halo 2 remake, Infinite, whatever’s next is genuinely unclear, and I’d expect that uncertainty to continue for a while. There’s an argument that this is a deliberate funnel, give PS5 players the entry point, hook them on the story, then use the sequel as a “continue the journey on Xbox” pitch. The fact that Campaign Evolved is campaign-only with no multiplayer feels intentional in that context. The ongoing community experience stays on Xbox, while PS5 gets the nostalgia bait which is not something I would put past Microsoft at this point.

Why does it feel like Xbox is constantly trying to force feed me Halo

I’m going to sound a little dumb. I had never played halo till my 20s. Played through all the MCC campaigns with a work friend.
In Halo: CE, when it’s on the “good” graphics the entirety of the visuals of the covenant ships and inside the ring change. Like completely different visual energy to the tone of the original graphics and I personally didn’t think it was an improvement. But I remember the halo 2 remaster being way truer to the original.
I don’t remember exactly what the CE remake covenant stuff looked like, but does it appear to be using that visual style, or did they do work like in 2 to make it truer to the original?

We didn’t get to use the Covenant slicey melee weapon in the original, did we? Maybe I just don’t remember.
