Like seriously….this was the one thing that everyone was expecting to see from the direct.
So when it finally showed up at the end….it wasn't a surprise anymore.
It was exciting yes….but not as exciting as it should have been.
If this actually didn't get leaked and was actually a surprise….the internet would have probably EXPLODED.
(In a similar way to Sora's smash reveal as a good example.)
I really wish NatetheHate didn't leak this….because this would have honestly saved the show if it was an actual surprise.

Leaker = ruining fun.
The leak could’ve been false, though. It happens a lot with games.
100%
it is exploding, just not over here. yeah sure whatever this place is called casual nintendo but I guarantee you the average fan (average fans don’t make reddit accounts and closely follow anything nintendo or nintendo leakers fart out) was pleasantly surprised
That’s why I don’t listen to leaks and rumors ‘cause you either get disappointed it was not true or the surprise gets ruined. Fortunately, I was not aware this was leaked and it was such an amazing surprise.
If Starfox was announced at this direct, I feel people would be a lot more enthusiastic.
Yeah, OOT remake would have been such a large surprise if it hadn’t been leaked. With that said, I’m still very excited and I still think this was a solid Direct.
OOT was pretty much the only thing for me here, but hey, if I get one game, I’m happy. My tastes can be hard to appease and I’ve had to learn that.
I think I’m gonna ask him to stop
I wonder if in hindsight they should have announced both the Starfox and OOT remakes here, and bookend the Direct with both games. The Direct opened with a bunch of stuff that wasn’t that interesting and needed a better lead. But more importantly, OOT would have been more unexpected. Announcing Starfox a month ago convinced most people that the OOT remake was also real. Holding off Starfox until now solves that problem.
Of course doing this would require having a very small window before the game is released so I get why they did it the way they did. Also they probably don’t want to set a precedent of changing plans due to leakers, which I also understand.
Honest, I was still surprised it was real and my excitement jumped when it came on.
I was more disappointed that they didn’t really show any more of it considering it’s releasing this year.
Get used to it, it’s the age of first hearing about stuff from people that are complaining.
Oot remake is nice and I’m looking forward to the Xenoblade SW2 editions since I’ve only played X and 2
A lot of the third party games looked interesting too, although I absolutely won’t buy anything on Switch that exists on PC
Leak or no leak, we need actual gameplay being shown. I don’t know if this is a 1 for 1 remake with better graphics or if they took some creative liberties and changed things around. I can’t get hyped for this since I don’t know what we’re getting.
Personally if it’s just a graphical upgrade, I have 0 desire to play this again. I’ve played it enough on the N64 and 3DS.
I hate leaks in general. It takes the fun out of it.
I don’t care that it leaked, however it did make the reveal more lackluster given it’s such a small tease without any gameplay or implications on the scope of what they’re doing with it.
yeap. I hate leaks.
I never trust “leaks”. I just assume they are fake. So i was still extremely exited for this as if i had no idea it was happening
I don’t understand this. It’s not like the game will suddenly stop existing because it got leaked. I am just as hyped for it as I would be otherwise. I saw it for the first tie and that’s what got me excited. I got even more hyped for Fire Emblem because we finally got to see new features like an explorable map. We’ve seen that game before anyway but seeing and learning more about them is fun too.
