tbh im "meh" to them but they feel like they were meant to Segregate the sports stuff and when they want to do a Mii game (aka Miitomo Tomodachi Life,Miitopia ect)
it feels weird that they are kinda being kicked out of the one place they were designed to roam around with (i imagine its a business thing to separate the 2 games?)
but i don't hate them visually (they are ok) but i think them separating the Mii's from essentially their home is odd

I don’t hate them just don’t make me play online to unlock the cosmetics for them
I’m aware this is a hot take, but I think they’re cute.
Personally I like them well enough. And I still have the option to play as a Mii if I want to. A little overhated imo.
