Would launching in December have helped? Or are developers so far they think it needs two months to breathe.

At least it looks that the game may very well have been ready to launch this year, which should bode well for its technical state when launched in February.

It’s gonna flop no matter when you release it, so no worries

I mean it’s gta 6.
There’s a new gta every 15 years.
No one wants to be near it

I understand, I really do. But man, I can’t deny the disappointment to not getting it this year.
I can’t wait for my boy to create a harem of men, and adopt all those little orphaned imps.

Honestly, It was a stupid decision by Microsoft. Fable’s biggest market will likely be PC… and GTA6 isn’t arriving on PC in November 2026. It would drive a lot of PC gamers to purchase Fable instead.
Another problem for Fable is … what if GTA6 launches on PC in February/March 2027?

So that basically means the game is pretty much finished and would have landed on that date had GTA not messed with them. But now they get a few more months of Polish so the game will come out even better.

They do realise they’re 2 separate fan bases why should one suffer because the other?

It sucks but I get it. And if we want a Fable 5 then Fable 4 has to sell well. So I support the decision.

Could have released in December wtf

Push the date up to the end of August or drop it as a winter game close to Christmas. Seems they’re looking for a window where fable will be the only game talked about but fable will still get its recognition cause of its track record. Like I bet even if it dropped the same day as GTA people would buy both still and play both. Sure GTA will sell more but people would still play fable. Just my ridiculous ass opinion.
