To be honest, I don’t know why anyone would think this game would be first person (at least only first person) considering the original is in third person and every other remake has been as well.

I’m not sure why they’d want to misdirect their consumers about what type of game they’re selling, but I have faith that Veronica is going to be awesome either way.

Why the fuck would you do that?

If McDonald’s did this with food it would be false advertising and people would lose their minds.

“Get excited about this game, it’s nothing like what we showed you. We wasted time making a trailer for a completely non existent version of the game instead of just completing the game so you can play it”

      Wild ass decisions lmao

I’m glad they confirmed this now. Unfortunately that means my mom won’t play it, she only plays first person games, and she got super excited by the trailer being first person. Was really hoping this game would have the option for first/third person like Requiem!

    5. I honestly had no clue what it was until the switch from the intro, so it worked.

    6. I wouldn’t have minded something like Requiem. The whole character based first / 3rd person probably wouldn’t have worked but it would be cool to see a mode where during scary / darker or cinematic sections it suddenly jumps to first.

      From this article:

      > Hirabayashi confirmed in the Q&A session I attended that the long-awaited remake will be a third-person game. Recent Resident Evil titles have typically included an option to switch between perspectives, and Resident Evil Requiem encouraged players to stick with first-person for Grace’s horror-focused sections and third-person, but despite the fact that the original Code: Veronica also featured dual protagonists, there’ll be no similar split here.

    8. To be purposely misleading is a questionable choice when they ultimately have no reason for doing so.

*”Capcom wanted to build a bit of mystery to create some surprise for the trailer”* is not good enough reasoning.

im glad its a 3rd person game but it would be cool to have first person as an option
