A new investor has overtook Sony as the top shareholder in Kadokawa, then tried to get the CEO removed and is trying to pressure Fromsoft to make faster safer games rather than indulge their creativity.

The last time they had shareholder issues (with Tencent and Kakao) Kadokawa approached Sony and asked them to buy them which almost happened. They would rather be owned by a Japanese company than ever let foreign company have control, ESPECIALLY a Chinese or Korean one. Sony might get tired of constantly bailing them out and actually buy them at some point

Actually nuts they want these devs to work faster given their record and output quality.

I hate all of these huge creative companies getting bought up by massive tech corporations.

It’s like selling your soul to the devil, they will always choose max profits at the cost of creativity

Investors really have no clue what they’re even advocating for. If they make quality games, they sell. If they make shitty games, they don’t. Real simple.
