4k 60 is pretty accurate. 120? Get out of here with that loo
Their has to be some truth to this 8K.
They have been making 8k tv’s, there is currently no media for it.
4k 120fps is crazy for how it can’t even run most games in 4k 60fps.
It was a bit of a bluff. 4K at 120 is not happening either.
Also, the market and gamers have decided they would rather have more FPS than resolution. Since it’s much easier to get a high refresh rate screen than an 8K one.
Man that’s just telling you what the HDMI port can technically output.
It’s marketing speak basically. It’s technically true under the right circumstances but most games aren’t doing those numbers
This isn’t a gaming spec, it’s simply the display output capabilities.
Maybe bluray videos resolution?

They can write it on the box as long as something runs at 4k120, even if it’s a small demo.
Their marketing department knew the scheme they were playing. The PS5 Pro is what Sony promised the original PS5 would be. I’m still upset I fell for it to this day.

Yeah I felt for that cap so bad! All I got was upscaled 1440p at 60fps.
Yeah, it says 4K120 but it’s actually either 4K60 or 1080p120 from my own experience unfortunately.

The PS5 probably could do that but game developers completely forgot how to optimize at some point in the last 10 years

I stand by the fact that they do not list 8K gaming. My guess would’ve been 8K streaming whether something YouTube or Netflix.
