Makes sense. To avoid spoilers, I’ll just say there is a spinoff character in Rebirth as well.
I can see them doing an epilogue DLC much like Yuffies where you do AC stuff and a post game superboss Sephiroth fight.

One fun thing about Remake and Rebirth is how they’ve been able to weave the later-canon elements into the stories of the games more. I might not have *liked* Dirge of Cerberus that much, for example, but it’s still entertaining to see some of its characters and ideas be integrated into the FF7 story, as they would have been if it had planned from the beginning.
And if if they remade Dirge of Cerberus with the same level of quality and polish as the rest of the remake trilogy – and with the same ATB-action gameplay – that’d be dope. Though I’d prefer a Turks-centric side-story DLC more.
Duh the purpose of this remake is to expand the ff7 universe. I think that’s been established pretty early with the divisions in story even in the first one
