I felt the New 3DS had a poor button layout, so I redesigned it by adding a larger, more comfortable C-stick. To do this, I had to move the START and SELECT buttons back to their original positions on the Old 3DS.

    1. I kind of like the start and select position on the old 3ds /2DS for games that use start or select as a common button. Bending your thumb down towards the bottom of the device is sort of uncomfortable if you need to do it quickly.

I prefer the power button being on that right side as well, I grew up with a 3ds xl and I got used to it being there.

ITS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT. I mean, there’s a lot of space in the right side on the 3ds, why they didn’t put a real jostick instead the c-stick on the new models at least?

    4. That’s not as comfortable as you think it is. The reason the Wii u gamepad feels good to hold for hours while the switch makes your hand cramp in minutes is because of the right analog placement. You’re not just holding the console like a controller, you’re holding it at eye level, and having your right thumb curved downwards while balancing the console upwards is not comfortable.

    5. My hand hurt just by looking how low that second circlepad is located. I’m not the biggest fan of the C-nub but the difference between a 3DS and a regular controller is that the controller has handles.
