    can i cancel my GTA VI pre-order and use these points to buy it instead?



    I never thought these points had a use until i saw a twitter post where someone apparently pre ordered the game using 98,000 points completely free???

      Edit: sorry – I got distracted by your point balance. Yes – cancel the pre-order. They dont bill you until 2 weeks prior.

      Question is if they will charge you now or 10 days prior to release since gift cards from rewards program expire after 90 days. If you can see when they have charged others/if they took money immediately, that’s your answer.

      Just be aware that gift cards purchased with points expire after 90 days – though I have read something about “unless you buy ONLY with points” – so wait until shortly before release to actually preorder it.

      If you go in the order history of your account and select the game there’s an option “change how you pay” but not sure if it would allow you to select the points. Might be worth to have a look.

      Man you can use your points to buy GTA 6 ultimate edition, Eday ultimate edition, and Fable ultimate edition and still have 100k points left lol.

      Yeah, those point equal money!

      You can convert those points into Gift Cards on the Rewards page under your Xbox Profile on the console, or, at least in the United States, when I make a purchase on the console, there’s an option to use Microsoft Rewards points.

      So, with the caveats that (a) I’m from the United States, and I’ve never attempted to use the Rewards Points from any other country, and (b), I’ve never had enough points to purchase a full game (just to use my Rewards Points TOWARDS the purchase of a game – e.g., used my points to get ~$22 off a $49.99 game, so after tax, about $34 was charged to my credit card, and the rest was paid for by the Rewards Points, I’d say YES, you can.

      Amazing to see all of these points! I had 17k and snapped the mafia trilogy for 3$ and felt like a steal. I cant imagine how it would feel to just get an XSX and resell at retail after price increase.

      And this is after they nerfed the rewards!

      Man I checked my account and I had $3. How much gaming does a person have to do to have 425K points?

      Yes? Make sure you get enough to buy in full, they expire in 90 days if unused.

      Damn, you’re sitting on about $425 you didn’t know you had. I usually save up to around 20k points, then wait for a sale to cash in for a game on my wishlist. No idea how many points I’ve cashed in over the years, but I’ve done it a fair amount of times.

      Well done on all the points! I managed to buy my launch Xbox Series X with Bing points…although the exchange rate and redemption was a lot better 5yrs ago!
