Hi there! New to the community, but not new to Reddit as a whole. I’ve been trying to figure out for the longest time how to fix the back of my 2DS, which I’ve had for nearly 10 years. I would like to emphasize that this popped back was my doing – I dropped it by accident a couple years back and part of it popped off. My battery is fine, it doesn’t appear to be heating up/combusting whenever I charge it (I didn’t even know what “spicy pillows” were until tonight lol), but I do want to be able to fix this problem. Please let me know if you have any solutions. Thank you!

Also unfamiliar with any possible fixes but would you not be able to just unscrew the back panel and re-tuck that flap back underneath??
Just to be sure, when placing that panel, did you insert the bottom tabs into their respective slots, then make the panel sit flat on the back?
Same thing happened to me! The top 2 screws on the back should come off and you should be able to put the plastic back in place before putting the screws back in.
just unscrew those two screws right above it, the ones in line with the cameras, then pull the whole cover plate off and just put it back on straight. that cover plate is only for the battery so theres no risk at all. u just need a small enough phillip head screw driver.
I believe you will have to unscrew and pull the plastic [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6Wja7KRcJU&t=0m40s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6Wja7KRcJU&t=0m40s)
