      I remember he used to be absolutely *everywhere* back in the day. Dude would not miss a chance to be interviewed. I can only imagine how much ego stroking that came from it to get where he is today.

      lmao, dude was super high on his own farts and it’s still high on it somewhat. Bruh, “general audiences” don’t have any idea who he is, I’m sure. And all we ever saw was “we have overwatch at home”.

      Not just ego, but delusional. Most gamers have no idea or care about specific people behind their favorite games. At most they’ll pay attention to the studio.

      I mean, no kidding, Cliff. You were doing interviews where you would tell the story of the “origin” of the project and it was about how you sat in meetings and told investors asking what your new project was that you “wanted to create another billion dollar IP” as if it was a fun story that made you look really cool.

      I’d wager 99% of gears players knew his name in the first place, and most of those couldn’t recall Epic as the developer if asked.

      A name can help promote awareness, and give you an upperhand in many ways, but the players definately don’t care.

      Lawbreakers released with less content than a F2P shooter yet had a $40 price tag. It also ran like shit for way too long until the small community that supported it, left. That’s why it failed. It wasn’t a bad shooter at all but severely mismanaged

      Guy reminds me Vince Russo, was fantastic as a writer in WWE because he had someone who kept him in check, went to WCW and was seen as a fraud, basically what’s happened to Cliffy B since he left Epic
