If we are only ever allowed to stream games I’m so fucking out dude. Fuck that

Fuck that. I don’t wanna pay for a streaming service for games. Fortunately, I can always explore the seas and sing some sea shanties if companies decide they’re gonna pursue this garbage.

    3. If Microsoft or Sony try streaming only, they will end up like Google’s Stadia. One of them will try it due to ram prices, and hopefully the other will learn by watching the other fail.

    4. If i have to choose between $1000 consoles and streaming games.. i’ll stick with my ps5, thank you.

      Gamingbible with the sensationalist headlines.

Hes only parroting what Xbox wants to do, nothing to do with actual consoles.

”With the advent of streaming – which we really do believe is around the corner in terms of having something that’s low latency, and really works well for consumers – machines that weren’t game machines before will become game machines”

GTA boss has said a lot of stuff recently, and every website is scrambling to make clicks over each word.

I’m not paying over a grand for a console I can’t even play games on without online streaming. F that. I have a large enough back log to keep me happy for hundreds of years. Maybe even thousands.

    8. If I remember correctly Microsoft pondered the idea of “[Keystone](https://www.windowscentral.com/gaming/xbox/the-xbox-that-never-was-our-first-detailed-look-at-the-keystone-cloud-streaming-console-design)”, a cheaper streaming-only console, back in 2021 but ended up canceling the project due to the hardware costing higher than expected.

With hardware costing even higher than then, I wonder what even a bare bones streaming-only device would have to be priced at if it was to be released today.

    9. I love inferior input lag and image quality. So glad I bought an 4K HDR OLED to stream games at 1080p.

No, it won’t. These big bosses don’t know anything about streaming and gaming. It’s getting better, but the latency is still there and hard to ignore. Even gigabit speeds is not enough.

The PS5 Pro will have long legs. Next gen is looking less and less appealing by the boss statement.

    12. You made billions upon billions and couldn’t optimize your game at 60fps? Fuck off

It also won’t matter because I only cared to put about 2 hours into GTA V after 3 console generations that respected us more than the next one will

    14. Nope, what’s really going to happen is the long slow decline of console gaming and therefore TakeTwo’s business model. Guy is crossing his fingers and hoping thats as consoles get too expensive the substitution effects kicks in and people migrate to streaming. But that won’t happen, they’ll just stop gaming, all too happy to play mobile games and brain rot swipe on TikTok all day. Like it or now, GTA6 is AAA gaming’s swan song.

    15. The future that fanboys are racing towards for their favorite corporation. They just leve being bent over.

    16. The threat of an all digital future and insane hardware costs and shortages is just setting us up for the eventual cloud gaming marketplace. Just like streaming services for television , movies and music, you won’t own anything. They don’t want you buying something once and that’s it. They want you to keep having to pay monthly to access them. It’s been a slow burn in that direction for quite some time.
