My natural instinct would be to take it. But my gut says it’s not available and dude went to run an errand or in the store and probably forgot he had it with him. I’d return it to customer service.

I’m glad your sister has some morals and was able to stop you from making a mistake. All the people in these comments saying you should take it are selfish pricks and better not leave their shit lying around ever because they’re bound to lose it if they do. Had you taken it and the person came back to get it, you are on camera and most people, including myself, would press charges and you’d lost likely be sitting your happy ass in jail and having to pay a fine that way more expensive that an old Xbox One. You did the right thing by not being a total prick and dumbass.
