    1. Xbox is the only console platform to release first party single player games without a physical disc, something not even Playstation has done (Hellblade 2, Hi-Fi Rush, and South of Midnight). While the ratio for percentage of games sold on Playstation is over 80%, Its over 90% on Xbox.

Xbox is much closer to dropping physical than Sony, they just dont want to say it for obvious reasons

Does switch 2 have lots of physical games or do they count game key cards as physical?

    3. Also most of the xbox discs releases on playstation absolutely sucks, barely any data on disc, online elements and microsoft account link, with the lowest possible stocks like i’m making money if i sell my day one copy of Indiana Jones today…

    4. I mean I’m assuming Xbox also had by the far the lowest percentage of digital game sales as well, considering that Xbox users mostly just play what’s on GamePass.

    5. I love all the delulus who think XB is in some kind of position to clap back at Sony the same way Sony did over a decade ago. Microsoft is ELATED about Sony “going first” and taking the flak. Once the news of physical phasing out will become more tolerable, they’ll join the party.

    6. i’d be curious as to what percentage of games was sold on xbox in 2026.

wouldn’t be surprised if “nobody is buying xbox games” just as much as it is about xbox’s physical/digital preferences. (xbox uses shitty discs that are half the size of a ps5 disc so most games don’t fit on a disc)

    7. Well Xbox barely has space at most retail stores from what I’ve seen so that tracks.
