40 is fine with me but it should still have 60. It will likely get patched in I guess.

I’m guessing the 40 fps mode will need a VRR display/monitor which many many people don’t have

    3. Kinda feels like we just started this generation where console hardware are being used to the max.

    4. Well after seeing the PC requirements, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised lol. What a joke.

Are yall really surprised lol, its a AA dev team biting off more than they can chew in every aspect of this game.

    6. Small studio, first game. I can stomach it.

Let’s remember everyone Take Two and GTA 6 is 30fps. The biggest game studio, the biggest game. 30fps. I’m out. Scummy pricing and subscription practices aside. People are still pre-ordering like good little sheep. Hypocrites.

    7. What’s the point of even these new gen consoles if we’re not making the minimum of 60fps every game? This is embarrassing.

    8. Guess I’m waiting until Witcher 4. Anything below 60 fps is unacceptable for current gen

I understand the preference for 60 but a game not having it shouldn’t be a deal breaker y’all. This is a narrative driven open world game, most game time likely won’t even be combat where having high frame rate can help. Not to mention using the latest of UE5 bells n whistles, being open world and these consoles are hitting the end of their lifecycle, new games are just gonna keep getting more demanding as the hardware ages.

There was a time before where games pushing hardware to sweat to it’s max capability and power was impressive, but I see people enjoying 60fps this gen may have thrown those old expectations out the window for most. Games should be fun before prioritizing frame rate, not that games should ship as a slide show, a steady 30fps as has been standard for ages in console.

Maybe I’m just old lol, but a high frame rate for a single player experience is not a high priority for me.

    10. From the article:

      > The Blood of Dawnwalker launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, GOG) on September 3

What the article doesn’t mention, is that it also launches on Xbox app on PC and it’s Play Anywhere.

    11. People still care about this? If its a good game it shouldn’t matter. Can hardly even tell between 30 and 60.

That’s fair enough it’s third person and I’m more interested in the story and the gameplay mechanics ✌️
