I may be late to the party but today I was checking the Game Access filter in my full library and saw two filters: My Games and Shared By Others. What is “Shared by others?” Is this an indication that game sharing is coming to Xbox?

Maybe, it’s will be cool
I want it to be true, but could it just be other profiles on the same console?
Man, that is intriguing. If they do what steam does, that would be pretty cool.
With this and D2D, XBOX is on a roll. Can’t wait to see where the company goes next.
Isn’t “home Xbox” literally just game sharing? Maybe the filter is there to quickly sort games from someone else’s account.
Game sharing has been a thing. When someone has there account set as the “home” console on your xbox you will have access to all there games. You will also have access to gamepass if they have a active subscription.
It’s probably just for the games owned by the other profiles on the same console.
It’s been here
“Shared by others” means that someone is sharing those games via Home XBOX or it’s from someone else who is also signed in at the same time in that console.
Yeah I game share with my son. I can play game he purchases and he can play mine. So it’s been a thing for years. He shares my GP sub also.
Game sharing has existed on Xbox since the release of the 360 20 years ago. You may be a little late to the party.
Xbox 360 had unlimited license sharing of games but you had to wait 6 months to do it again.
The current consoles can set a Home Xbox and share all games and Game Pass subscription between 2 consoles. It’s been there since the Xbox One came out in 2013.
