My new! 2ds XLi've had for several years got this crack a couple months ago after i forgot it was in a backpack i handled a little too rough π a few days ago i bought a used older model 3ds XL for $200 only to find out i'm not able to transfer my account back to an older model… i have quite a few digital games purchased since i've had the same 3ds account since launch in 2012(including the ambassador certificate) so i really want to get my account back on there and i was wondering if anyone has any experience with repairing a screen like this? I searched online and i dont think i want to attempt a repair myself, if someone who knows about this could tell me what they think the price ranfe dor local repair shop to replace the damage would be? And would it be worth rhe cost?

If you donβt have experience doing repairs then this may not be one you want to attempt, the 2DS top screen is particularly tricky to get to
Itβs worth it. The screens are pretty inexpensive, and replacing one requires a toolkit, and an intermediate skill level not to rip the flex ribbon.
Worth to get it fixed but if you have never repaired something similar to it, don’t try it.
Just take to a professional, it’s not a easy beginner task to change any of the upscreen of the 3ds family consoles
