    1. “The Customer Appreciation Sale is our way of saying thank you to Nintendo players for their continued support and is made possible in part by tariff-related refunds. While Nintendo absorbed most tariff-related costs, the refunds helped make promotions like this one possible.”

      How generous

    2. I went straight to Tropical Freeze and it is still showing full price lmao

EDIT: I see now that the sale does not begin yet

    3. I know it’s the bare minimum, but wild seeing a company actually acknowledging the tariff refunds

Honestly, the gesture is appreciated. How many other large companies have even acknowledged the tariffs in a sympathetic manner and even more so done something about it.

    5. I wonder if any of the sale stuff will apply to preorders.

I haven’t preordered Metroid or OoT but if they offer me a halfway decent deal on them too, I’d order directly through them to save a little more tbh

    6. The sale runs from September 13 through September 26 across Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Store, and participating retail locations.

      Good, its not digital only

    7. Cool so what about consumers not in the US where products suddenly had a price increase when the tariffs when live because they clearly wanted to spread the load?

Nintendo may be a giant corporation but it’s things like this that make me want to support them when others wouldn’t even think of doing this.

    9. I would like to join the mass of Redditors complaining that a sale is happening soon.

Fucking wild. This site is garbage.

Hoping the switch fire emblem games will be featured, I have been craving a strategy game and have heard good things

    11. Nintendo over here having a “Customer Appreciation Sale” while PlayStation literally expressing publicly how no customer could possibly expect to actually own a game when the select “Buy” or “Purchase”. Execs stating they don’t care about aquiring new customers, they just want to squeeze every possible dollar they can out of current customers. Cancelation of much anticipated KOJIMA game of all things, tossed in the trash. You can’t make this stuff up folks. Any self respecting game player wouldn’t be caught dead with a PS5 right now. Literally despise their customers. I’ma wake up tomorrow morning with a message from PlayStation saying, “We decided to raise our game prices 30%, because f*** you that’s why”

*Insert Curb Your Enthusiasm music and fade out

    12. I didn’t expect Nintendo to do something to offset the tariff refunds they recieved at all NGL. They 100% didn’t need to do this, but I appreciate it nonetheless.
