    1. It turns out Reddit isn’t even close to the sentiment of the majority of the player base.

Most people genuinely do not give af. They want to load up cod, fifa, or whatever game they’re playing and play.

Ohhhh yeaaaa I forgot people said something about a blackout. I bought three digital games that week LOL

    3. These things only exist on the internet lol

haven’t people learned anything from hogwarts legacy?

    4. Im just buying games physical only from now on and if they stop making them, then ill be forced to stop engaging with playstation

    5. The only way to get their attention is to just stop giving them money. But that ain’t gonna happen.

    6. When will Reddit understand that it will always be a vocal minority. Time and time again, we’ve seen this with these ‘boycotts’. The average consumer literally doesn’t care.

Ouch. Ok now that’s done. Go out and vote…like in real politics. I know, I know you complainers really hate that. But that is the best option for digital ownership.

    8. You mean to tell me that all that traction for the anti-sony movement on xwitter had more to do with the fact that that place is a bot farm more than an actual community? No. Stunning. Absolutely no one could’ve seen this.

    9. Hang on, you mean a bunch of people on Reddit who did the blackout who don’t own PS5’s never played????

    10. What was this supposed to do? Nothing.

Don’t buy Wolverine, that will send more of a message.

Everyone being smug about it when they would also say this if there was an impact, they would never admit it and just carry on as normal

    12. All I’ll say is that I hope the lesson here is how not to do an organise protest. Not that the people who have legitimate concerns and frustrations aren’t worth listening to.

    13. Some people only have a PlayStation and that’s where their friends are too.

Were they expected to just abandon the hobby for a period?

I agree with the sentiment behind the blackout, but it was never ever going to work.

    14. You can’t do a blackout with an end date. You just have to walk away until you get what you want.

The moment I saw the articles I was just playing out the whole passion of the movement and the I told you so’s of everyone. These movements feel like psyops lmao like they’re designed to make it look stupid

    16. I don’t understand the point of a blackout with a deadline 🙁
It’s just a week and you’re back to playing and purchasing games? What?

    17. I still haven’t played since the blackout started. Even though there was no blackout just as there is no backlash and they cut ties with Kojima because he was over budget and can’t deliver and Sony never did anything wrong in their life ever.

    18. Anyone else just staring at the countdown timer on their PlayStation home page for Wolverine? Cannot fucking wait for midnight.

    19. ThenThereWasSilence on

I’ve been saying this since the start. The average person doesn’t care about this. This is a topic for the ultra-online.

    20. Blackouts won’t make a difference the only thing corporations listen to is the almighty dollar. If you really want to stand your ground, cancel ps plus, don’t buy PlayStation games, and switch platforms. Of course, most people won’t do this, which Sony knows, which is why they won’t change.

    21. This was never a real protest. The real protest would be not buying GTAVI. But no one is doing that either.

Everything is fucked is what I’m saying.

    22. I, for one, am shocked. I bet 90% of the people joining in either dont play on their ps5 much or just dont have one to begin with

    23. Blackouts with expiration dates are strange to me. Like you’re just telling them that this is a temporary setback and not to worry

    24. Oh, it mattered. And Sony saw it. You think they’re going to put out a press release about it? Ask Xbox if their disastrous E3 presentation was just “people on twitter” complaining. PlayStation is losing their die hard fans and their brand name is very quickly being ruined. You lose the core audience and the casuals fall very fast to the competition. It has happened before, and it is happening right now.

    25. kudos to those who actually did it… but your normal players would never visit gaming reddits/forums or follow “influencers” and or twitter on this. So it’s as expected.

LOL it’s almost like everyone said this and the performative losers thought they’d still make a difference
