Jus reserved my 1TB model but I’m curious as to why they only have a 256gb and 1TB. I’m sure it has something to do with the memory shortage.

Why does a VR headset need 1TB of storage?!
Does it not need to connect to a PC?

$1,059 is… exactly what I expected. I’d say better than the Machine. Also it comes with Alyx

Ehh, I will just pick up a used Index on FB marketplace as people sell them off to buy this.

Great , I love the “This item is not available for purchase in your region” 🙁

What’s with the storage space? For games you “install” on the Frame to play as a standalone?

For when stock gets stable I’ll be as old as that lady

1059 is not bad all things considered

It’s been so long so it was announced I’ve actually forgotten everything about it. Put my name in the hat just in case, so now I’ll actually go read up on it

Not even gonna lie, prices are better than I expected. I thought the base model was gonna be at least $1,700. Gotta scream at the heavens about this AI bullshit though, because this would’ve been $700 easy without the ram and memory price increase

Oh look! The price means I’ll never buy one!

Wait, I thought tomorrow was tomorrow, not today!

This isn’t just about expensive hardware, though. Instead of just offering the hardware, Valve also makes waves in the software scene. With the Steam Deck, it was Proton. With the Steam Machine, it was a flashable version of SteamOS. With the Steam Frame, it’ll be x86 software running on ARM devices. The devices are niche, but Valve is justifying their existence by making Linux gaming actually viable. In that sense, the Steam Frame is a Trojan horse for ARM architecture. With enough development, we could see native Steam games running solidly on Snapdragon phones and other handheld devices.

It will be sold out immediately and scalped for twice the price.
Was so excited I forgot to put [the link](https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamframe) in.
Prices are quite steep as expected, maybe even steeper. How are we all feeling about it?
